Mom Photography
I recently received a "new" (to me) SLR camera & have been busy snapping shots of my beautiful little family & home with it as I learn all the nobs & buttons. Here are a few that I love most. Enjoy!

We wish you a Merry Christmas
"But the angel said to them, 'Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, The Lord." ~Luke 2:10-11
Merry Christmas from our little family to yours. As I sit and think of the amazing year we have had, I feel incredibly lucky. From our new home in April to the birth of our angel on earth in August, our jobs, our friends and our family we couldn't have asked for a better 2012. Of course, at Christmas we reflect on the wonderful gift God gave to us that blessed day in Bethlehem, but this year I think of the gifts he fills our lives with every day. We couldn't ask for more - health, happiness & His love.
Our families joined in our celebrating yesterday where we opened too many gifts, ate too much food and had too much fun (if that is even possible). The love that filled our home yesterday was heart warming. A huge thank you to all who joined us - we love each of you and wouldn't have imagined Christmas without you.
Of course, I'm a mom now, so I will close with too many pictures of our beautiful family. Again, Merry Christmas. I wish love, prosperity & happiness to each & every one of you!

Wallace Family Christmas
'Tis the season to be jolly & full... Very full. Today we kicked off our season of joy with the Wallace family. We gathered at our new house this year to eat & be merry. We do both of those very well.
Of course the family is well on its way spoiling the boy. He got new shoes, new jeans, a new vest and a firetruck to ride on. Of course that is only the gifts we opened today. There are more to come.
Such an awesome time, sharing Christmas meals with family, hearing stories of Christmases from generations past & just watching four generations of Wallaces be together. See? I told you the season was about being full... Full of food, full of love, full of hope, full of rejoicing. And for the first time, full of spoiling the boy.
Merry Christmas!

Vintage Christmas
I found this gem at an estate sale a few months ago. Put it up to snap some pictures and prep it for selling. It does look pretty cool in my dining room though...

NaBloPoMo a.k.a Happy November Y'all
Happy November y’all! It is such a great month – Thanksgiving, Christmas prep, “No Shave November”, “Movember”, college football gets even better, cooler temperatures grace our doors, the leaves fall and apples are a top priority on the grocery list. November is also fabulous because it is National Blog Posting Month. Let us celebrate by writing each weekday. Sure, I should attempt an every-day-of-November blog posting routine, but let’s be honest… that isn’t going to happen around here. I’m a working mom who works three different gigs. Do you really think I’ll have time to post every single day? (Ok, I’m making lame excuses again.)
Over at BlogHer they have amazing prompts for each day of the month. To help get my creative writing juices flowing once again, I’m going to jump on board with them and write using their prompts. Today’s prompt is “Tell us your favorite quotation and why.”
Awesome. First prompt and my answer is, “don’t really have one”. Terrible, I know. I just do not find inspiration in infamous quotes, but do find motivation and strength in every word I read from my Bible. Here is a little something for today "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; his love endures forever. (1 Chronicles 16:34). I promise I will not preach around here, but it is where I find my “umph” y'all.
Here’s hoping that the rest of the month is a little more productive than today’s right? LOL

Feed The 5,000
This Saturday I was blessed by spending the day celebrating Christmas at Coolray Field and handing out food to more than 3,000 families. Humbling. Honored. Emotional.
For the second year, our church decided our Christmas initiative would be to feed 5,000 families, which turned into 6,000 this year as the cars spilled off Buford Drive into the Gwinnett Braves parking lot.
Tears flowed all day from those grateful for the food and those grateful for the ability to serve. Meeting so many wonderful people who have fallen on hard times opens my eyes to the undeserved blessings the Lord has graced us with this year. From the restoration of health, to financial stability, from jobs to our future house hunt, none of what we have is possible without the Lord's blessing poured upon us.
This Christmas, I have learned to make a list of all that I have and be thankful for that instead of making a list of things I don't have... God is good - all the time!

So this is Christmas...
Can you believe that that we are 12 days out!? Sheesh... My failed attempt to have all my shopping/wrapping/crowd fighting complete by now. I'm sure you've guessed it since I'm writing this post that my Christmas list hasn't crossed off everyone's names. You'd be correct.
My husband and I have mapped out a strategic route to complete our shopping. One evening to hit 4 stores, grab the items we have thought of, scan the coupons we have gathered and out the door we will race. It's exciting, it's overwhelming, and it's got to be done.
Pray for the safety of all involved. I have a tendency to get heated in crowds and I'll throw an elbow or two of the situation arises ;).
Off to the races.... Go!

Christmas Pretzel Treats
These are the easiest goodies ever and super delish to match.
Ingredients:
Pretzels
Candy Cane Flavored Kisses
1. On a parchment paper covered cookie sheet lay a single layer of pretzels.
2. Unwrap and place kisses on each pretzel.
3. Place in a preheated, 200 degree oven for a few minutes... Just long enough for the kisses to melt.
4. Remove from oven and place another pretzel on top of the melted kiss making a yummy pretzel sandwich.
5. Place treats in the oven to cool...
Simple as that! You can use other candy as well - I'm thinking Rolos would be really good too.
Merry Christmas!!
